SIP device configuration
Make sure all NAT traversal handling in SIP devices and in the NAT routers are disabled. The use of unreliable NAT traversal techniques like router packet mangling, the use of STUN or poor implementation of ICE are the cause of failures in call setup success that cause no media flow or one way media. The NAT traversal functions are handled well in most cases by using the platform built-in NAT traversal functions.

The SIP Proxy addressing and location functions are based on Internet domains. The SIP devices must support RFC3263 (Locating SIP Services), namely to support the DNS SRV lookups for SIP services.
